Why am I always barefoot?

One of the most asked questions I receive more than any other is why I am rarely seen with shoes on.

Although I have read this question many times, I rarely respond. The reason for this is because it is a deeply philosophical question which there is no easy answer.

In this short video interview I address the question.

Please enjoy this video and feel free to leave positive comments.

  1. I’ve always been interested in going barefoot, but moreso after “Dual Survival”, watching Cody Lundin do it.Is this something you would recommend to those like myself, starting in their early 20’s? What about later in life? And what would you recommend to those in urban settings, with litter, glass, and metal shards present? Thanks for the vid! It seems to have raised even more questions, though lol

  10. You know there were even cultures in Tierra del Fuego that went nude before the Christians missionaries made them put clothes on. Then they caught pneumonia & died.Thank you for the video. I agree that the human body is capable of so much more. Just don’t do it on the horse trails, ewwww.

  20. Nice video, beautiful background. I find I like going barefoot and do it most of the year. Do not do snow, the boots come out (run the garbage out quick but ok). My Aunt keeps bying me slippers because I am usually barefoot and she can’t understand it, it has been many years since I was a Kid (55). Your feet do get tough. In the house, yard, walks around the neighborhood, barefoot. Going shopping, appointments, doctors and stuff like that, wear shoes. Take care and thanks for your great videos.

  29. I used to go barefoot a lot. But now going barefoot hurts my back. 🙁 In the winter I’d walk right through the snow to get the fire wood. no longer than5 or 10 minutes. but its’ lot warmer here than up there in the winter.
