A short exploration film created in with the help of the Dundas Museum on the ruins of Fishers Mill. The site was originally built as the Gore Grist Mill in 1834.
The Gore grist mill remained in operation until it was sold to the Fisher Family in 1863. The Fisher family re-tooled the mill, turning it into a pulp and paper mill, this was very common during that time period.
The Fisher pulp/paper mill remained in operation until 1929. After the mill was closed, the Dundas High School was errected on the East side of the property, where it still stands today.

Beautiful place! Awesome old tunnel and waterfall! Looks like a great place to do a little metal detecting for some old coins! Thanks for a little history lesson. Check out my latest vid for a little history around where I live in Tennessee. I show some waterfalls and an old 1890’s cotton mill. Thanks for sharing! Be safe….JP.

Great video, history has always fascinated me! It’s too bad that we don’t put half as much effert into modern structure as they did back then. Back then they built things to last!

Very cool. I think it’s amazing how history is all around us but people just don’t look. I make videos of old mines, ghost towns and indian ruins in Arizona. Great video!
